Bangladesh
In a country like Bangladesh not everything can
be planned long term. Amazing how the WSA expert network
reacted on such a short notice and how people found time
and energy to fly over and be there for almost
10 days. The event had a significant impact on the
ICT development in Bangladesh, especially of value for
the SME?s, which rarely get such an opportunity for
demonstrating what they do, exchanging practical experiences
and learning directly from concrete examples from all over the
world...

Held within the framework of the 7th UN ICT Task Force
Meeting in Berlin, the WSA exhibition was an unusual and
unique addition to the event: what has been discussed and
worked on in the plenary rooms, has been here
demonstrated on concrete examples from different countries.
This was very useful and important.

Bahrain
Great partnership since three years and hopefully for the years
coming! Here is the story: Bahrain started by winning one
of the WSA categories in 2003. Then conducted a WSA
Global Summit in 2004. And finally ended up being the
host of the WSA 2005 Grand Jury. What more can
be said?

We were proud
to be the first country to hold a WSA event
of a global scale — the Global ICT Summit 2004.
It was a great opportunity to demonstrate
China’s dynamic capabilities in the advancement
of ICTs, establish new relationships on the highest
governmental level and also to demonstrate the unique role
of Hong Kong as a business gateway
to China.

The Sudan Road Show was a memorable joint celebration.
We brought WSA with an exhibition, lectures and speeches
to five national universities and colleges. All products were
installed on 200 computers in lecture rooms and
libraries. As a result we could work on and
finally implement new curricula in universities, based
on WSA quality criteria and the input provided in the
framework of discussions and workshops.
